- Drawing of model boundaries and dimensions in PDF, JPG, or CAD.
- Expected scale or model size.

You can send this information electronically. For large files, use Dropbox or WeTransfer. We also accept hand-drawn concepts in the early stages.
Can I afford a scale model and when will it be finished?
Costs vary; estimates based on project specifics. Timelines range from days for concepts to weeks for complex models. Expedited options available.
What types of scale models does K&A Models produce and what scale should I request?
We specialize in high-quality architectural models of any scale and type, including simple facades to complex structures like airport terminals. Scale selection depends on project scope and detail requirements. We advise on the most suitable scales based on project needs.
What information do I need to provide for architectural model making?
Ideally, provide:
- Updated master plan in CAD.
- Landscape drawings with level markings and material specifications.
- Building elevations, plans, and cross-sections in CAD.
- 3D files (Rhino, SketchUp, 3D Max, AutoCAD).
- Building material samples or color codes (Pantone/RAL).
- Updated renderings for reference.
We handle all necessary materials internally, ensuring a streamlined process from planning through transportation without requiring third-party involvement.
How long is my quotation valid and can I request changes in the schematics?
Quotations are valid for 2-3 months, assuming project specifications remain unchanged. We accommodate changes, with minor adjustments being complimentary. Significant changes or scrapped work may incur additional charges to maintain project integrity.
If I'm in Australia, how do you ensure the safe delivery of the architectural model to me?
K&A models, since its establishment in 1995, has been engaged in global model production, serving clients in Dubai, the United States, Switzerland, Australia, and beyond. With our extensive experience in global model transportation, we meticulously craft wooden boxes for each architectural model. We secure the models inside these boxes with foam padding to ensure their safe delivery. Rest assured, your model will arrive at its destination completely secure.
Can I visit your company to check on the progress of my model production?
You are welcome to visit our company to inspect the progress in person. Alternatively, we can provide you with photos, videos, or arrange video conferences to show you key stages of the model production process, ensuring you are fully informed.
From the beginning of model production to its final delivery to your hands, what are the key steps you follow?
Confirming key processes with you, such as model boundaries, scale, colors, production timeline, etc. Once the model is completed, we will confirm the final delivery standards with you. After your confirmation, we meticulously package the model and arrange for delivery to your doorstep through courier services.
